d.b.a. Peak Pet Pantry

The (Pikes) Peak Pet Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, providing temporary pet food assistance to citizens in El Paso County and surrounding areas.  The Pantry started in September 2007, after our founder saw an increase in people needing short-term help with the cost of their animals. We give out food twice a week on the southeast side of Colorado Springs and as of February 6, 2010, we give out pet food and supplies to the homeless near I-25 and Bijou twice a month. In 2009 we gave out 46,970 pounds of pet food to Colorado residents in El Paso, Pueblo, Teller, Fremont, and Elbert Counties. [more info

We are the first pet food bank in the Pikes Peak region and are dedicated to providing assistance to pet owners facing hardship. As of February 2, 2010, we will conduct business as Peak Pet Pantry, but our mission remains the same. Our HOPE is that by coming to the aid of pet owners, they are able to keep their beloved pets instead of abandoning the pets.  A donation in $5 increments would help feed two or more cats for a month, or feed one or more medium sized dogs for two to three weeks. Without our dedicated sponsors, donors, and community, we couldn't continue to help those facing tough decisions. Please consider making a donation or volunteering today.

If you would be interested in starting a pet food program in your area, please CONTACT US with your name, city, and state or country so we may send you detailed information on how to get started.
